Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, participated in the High Level Seminar on the international financial structure jointly organized by the French Ministry of Finance and Public Accounts and the Chinese presidency of the G20 in Paris Thursday, March 31st, 2016.
This event was an opportunity for participants to review the risks facing the international financial system and discuss the various options for the reform of the international financial structure to strengthen the global economic and financial stability. The recommendations resulting from the seminar will be submitted to the G20 in its summit in September 2016.
At the seminar, the Minister chaired a panel discussion to assess the global financial safety nets, to review procedures for their implementation and consistency as well as put forward proposals to improving these nets so that they are strong enough to meet the many challenges the global economy faces
This high-level seminar was attended by Mrs. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF, Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G20 countries, some non-G20 countries as well as leading experts.
