Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID: Morocco and the DRC are more determined than ever to strengthen cooperation in a variety of areas of common concern.

Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, received Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 in Rabat, the Minister in charge of relations with the parliament of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mr. Tryphon Kin-Kiey Mulumba, on a visit to Morocco at the head of a delegation made up of advisers, experts and journalists.

In a press statement, the Congolese Minister said his country is interested in the experience of the Kingdom in the field of management of parliamentary issues, including the computerization of relations between Parliament and the Government. "We attach great importance to the computerization of relations between parliament and government in the DRC and we wish we could be able to approve the texts of laws by all members of the Government involved in this issue," stated Mr. Mulumba.

Mr. Mulumba also welcomed the excellent historical relations linking Morocco and the DRC, expressing the will of his country to further consolidate its cooperative relations with Morocco that aspires to be, in his opinion, "a country of peace and serenity.”

Mr. BOUSSAID, on the other hand, reassured that Morocco is determined to make sure that the DRC really profit from all its accumulated experience in every field they are interested in, including the issue on the computerization of relations between the executive and the legislature.

He furthermore praised the Republic economic performance noting that it is "a great country, seen as very progressive on extremely satisfactory basis, with growth rates of over 8% in 2015 and ranking at the head of the African continent in attracting FDI.”

​ ​ Recalling the excellent relations linking Morocco and the DRC and which are based on mutual trust, the Minister of Economy and Finance stated that the two countries are more than ever willing to strengthen cooperation in the various areas of common interest. ​
