Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed, Wednesday, November 4th , 2015 in Skhirat, the guarantee agreement relating to a loan amounting to € 35 million, granted by the Bank to the National Electricity Office and drinking water (ONEE).
This loan is intended to finance the project of the "rehabilitation of hydropower plants", which is part of the national energy strategy for the development of renewable energies.
The signing ceremony attended by Mr. Ali Fassi Fihri, Director General of the (ONEE), was held on the sidelines of the first business forum for the southern and eastern Mediterranean region (SEMED), organized by the (EBRD), November, 03rd and 4th 2015 at Rabat Convention & Exhibition Centre Mohammed VI at Skhirat, under the theme "Unleashing the Potential".
Held in cooperation with the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM), this event brought together representatives of the private sector of the four countries in the SEMED region, international investors and international financial institutions.
