BOUSSAID Mohamed, Minister of Economy and Finance, gave Friday, October 23, 2015 in Rabat, a press conference on the Finance Bill 2016. On this occasion, the Minister provided an overview of the economic situation of Morocco, considered a steadily improving economy. He described the year 2016, a pivotal year for the major reforms in our country, in this case putting the new constitution into effect, continuing structural reforms and accelerating sector-based strategies.
Mr. BOUSSAID also presented the major assumptions of the 2016 Finance Bill, namely: an economic growth of around 3%, a budget deficit of -3.5% of GDP, an exchange rate of 9.5 DH / $, a barrel of oil at $ 61 and butane gas to $ 450 a tonne. As for the priorities of the 2016 Finance Bill, the Minister referred to them in four points:

The consolidation of the basis for a balanced economic growth continuing to support demand and encouraging supply policy through, stimulating industrialization, promoting private investment, supporting enterprises and accelerating sector-based plans;

The strengthening of an inclusive economic development model that aims to reduce social disparities and create jobs;

The acceleration of the implementation of the advanced regionalization and major structural reforms;

The implementation of the reform of the Organic Law relating to the Finance Act (LOF) and the continuing recovery of macroeconomic balances. Furthermore, the Minister presented to members of the national and foreign press steps taken under the PLF, namely :

The measures for households and young people ;

The measures in favor of businesses ;

Measures for the regions ;
-
Measures to reduce social and spacial disparities.
It should be noted that this meeting was an opportunity for a very rich debate which enabled media representatives to have a clear understanding of the main provisions of the 2016 Finance Bill.
