Signing of a loan agreement amounting to $ 112.5 million, to finance the program to support the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy

Alongside the Extraordinary General Meeting of the founding shareholders of Africa50 Fund, held in Casablanca on July 28th and 29th 2015, Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. Donald KABERUKA, President of the African Development Bank Group (ADB) signed a loan agreement in the amount of $ 112.5 million, to finance the program to support the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy.

 The Minister of Economy and Fina​nce stressed the importance of this program which is part of the government's commitment to further deepen economic and sector-based reforms, while placing greater emphasis on strengthening the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy as a whole.

Mr. BOUSSAID and Mr. KABERUKA also signed two letters on grant agreement of about 1 million euros each to finance technical assistance in favor of the Presidency of the Government and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (DTFE).

The Minister of Economy and Finance took the opportunity to thank the (ADB) for its assistance and invited the Bank to continue its support to sustain Morocco in its dynamic development, particularly through maintaining reform programs and structuring projects launched by our country.​
