2012 United Nations` Report on E-Government: Morocco improved its ranking for e-government services

Morocco signed one of the very significant improvement in e-government services ranking, called "Online Services Index", moving from 104th position in the last ranking (January 1st 2010) to 56th position, indicates the "UN E-government Survey" report published by the United Nations during the first quarter of 2012.  


The Kingdom scored 0.5425 well ahead of South Africa (0.4575), Turkey (0.4641) and Tunisia (0.4771). India (0.5359) and Ireland (0.5359) are just behind Morocco` according to the UN report that measures and ranks the progress of 193 countries as regards e-government.

This report is made up of different indices, including "Online Service Index" (which measures the quality of e-Government for users), "Human Capital Index" (which measures the level of literacy and enrollment rate) and "Infrastructure Index" (which measures the penetration rate of fixed and mobile Internet).
