Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister of Economy and Finance received Thursday, February 10th 2011, at the Ministry, a group of the European parliament chaired by Mr. Pier Antonio PANZERI, who was in an official visit to Morocco. During the meeting, Mr. Mezouar stressed that this visit is part of the strong neighborly and friendly relations between Morocco and the EU and their privileged partnership within the framework of the Advanced Status of Morocco.
The Minister recalled the strong economic relations linking Morocco and the EU which is the first economic partner of our country at all levels. He expressed
Morocco`s ambition to inaugurate a new level of economic and financial partnership with the UE through the advanced status to benefit from access to domestic market through establishing a common economic space between EU and Morocco and achieving a deep and comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
Mr. MEZOUAR also presented the progress made by our country`s economic and social development as well as reforms to further boost the dynamics of Morocco.
Mr. MEZOUAR and Mr. Pier Antonio PANZERI reaffirmed their common will to develop and strengthen further cooperation between Morocco and the EU.
