Signature of financing agreements between Morocco and the IDB

On Sunday, January 31st 2010, Mr.Salaheddine MEZOUAR, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), co-chaired, in Rabat, the signing of several financing agreements for projects to supply rural areas in the province of Taza with drinking water and secure water supply in the city of Fez. These funding agreements, amounting to 50.3 million dollars (about 402 million DH) were signed by Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, Mr. Ali Fassi Fihri, the Director General of the National Office of Drinking Water (ONEP) and Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, President of the IDB Group.

Took part in this ceremony, Mrs. Amina Benkhadra, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Mr. Zahoud, Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, in charge of Water and Environment and members of the Executive Directors Board of the IDB.

After the ceremony, Mr. Salaheddine MEZOUAR and Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali welcomed the level and quality of cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the IDB and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen it

It should be pointed out that these agreements were signed on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the 256th session of the Executive Directors Board of the IDB held in Rabat in January 31st, 2010.
