Visit of the delegation of the Inspectorate General of Finance of the Republic of Djibouti

The Department of Public Enterprises and Privatization (DEPP) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance received December 3rd  2009, a delegation of the Inspectorate General of Finance of the Republic of Djibouti so as to make inquires about the Moroccan experience in public enterprises` governance.    

This meeting was an opportunity for the DEPP officials to present the organization and functions of management as well as the Moroccan experience in terms of sector restructuring, delegated management and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

The Djibouti delegation included Mr. Salah Toubeh Egueh, Inspector General of Finance, Ihab Saad Nadim, Director in charge of auditing public institutions and Abdellahi Moussa Daher, Inspector of Finance.

The meeting focused mainly on the financial control application, the certification of accounts and the PPP in the housing sector.

For their part, the members of the Djibouti delegation congratulated Morocco for its progress in these areas, particularly in monitoring. They stated that the Djibouti Ministry of Finance does not have a structure devoted to the activity of control by the paymasters.

After the meeting, representatives of the Djibouti delegation thanked the DEPP for the quality and richness of the presentations and the information provided.
