Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister of Economy and Finance, arrived in Dakar on Sunday, May 10th, 2009, to take part, as Governor for Morocco of the ADB Group, in the annual assemblies of the group, held on May 13th and 14th 2009 in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. Mr. Mezouar headed an important delegation of the Ministry`s executives.
Mr. Mezouar took part in the 9th meeting of the Governors Consultative Committee on Monday May 11th, 2009, which examined a possible increase of the ADB capital.
On Tuesday May 12th, 2009, the Moroccan delegation took part in the meeting convened by the President of the ADB Group, regarding the impact of the international financial crisis on African nations, and the possible measures which the ADB Group could take in this respect.
On May 13th and 14th , 2009, the Moroccan delegation took part in the annual assemblies of the ADB Group devoted to the certifying of financial accounts for the 2008 financial year, as well as to the adoption of a range of policies and strategies for the ADB Group.
