On Friday March 20th, 2009, the Minister of Economy and Finance held talks with Mr. Abdelaziz Alhanani, Vice-President of Islamic Development Bank.
During this meeting, Mr. MEZOUAR and the Vice-President of the IDB spoke of the present relations between Morocco and the Islamic Bank and explored possible ways of strengthening these relations.
Mr. MEZOUAR expressed his gratitude for The Islamic Bank`s support to Morocco`s economic and social development. For the period 1975-2008, The Islamic Bank financed several projects in various sectors (energy, transport, dams, water, and foreign trade), for a total amount of $ 3.5 billion.
