The Government Council Adopts the 2026 Finance Bill

The Government Council, meeting on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Rabat under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, adopted the Finance Bill (PLF) for the year 2026 and the accompanying texts.
Subsequently, the Government Council examined and adopted several decrees accompanying this Finance Bill. These include Draft Decree No. 2.25.851 delegating authority to the Minister of Economy and Finance regarding domestic borrowing and the use of any other financial instrument.
The Council also examined and adopted Draft Decree No. 2.25.852 delegating authority to the Minister of Economy and Finance concerning external financing, as well as Draft Decree No. 2.25.853 delegating authority to the Minister of Economy and Finance to conclude loan agreements for the repayment of costly external debt and agreements for interest rate and currency exchange risk coverage.
