Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, took part in the round table for the financing of the national development plan of the Central African Republic (CAR), held on September 14 and 15, 2025 in Casablanca.
This high-level meeting, chaired by His Excellency Mr. Faustin Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, was dedicated to the presentation of the national development plan of the Central African Republic, involving investments of around USD 12.8 billion. It brought together nearly 500 participants representing several countries, international and regional financial institutions, United Nations development agencies, representatives of the private sector, as well as other development partners of the CAR.
In her opening remarks, the Minister recalled the priority given by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to a stable, modern, open, prosperous Africa, confident in its future. Hosting this round table in Casablanca is part of this vision, aimed at strengthening African solidarity and promoting fruitful and sustainable cooperation in the service of the continent’s development.

The work of this first day was marked, in addition to the speeches of the Minister and His Excellency Mr. Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, by the interventions of the main technical and financial partners of the CAR, who expressed their support for this initiative.
The sessions organized allowed representatives of the Central African authorities to present the different pillars of the National Development Plan as well as the main projects included within this framework, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, and agriculture.

At the end of this first day, several agreements were concluded between the Central African authorities and representatives of financial partners as well as the private sector. In addition, the main regional and multilateral financial partners announced funding commitments for the CAR’s NDP.
The second day of this round table is dedicated to a Business Forum, focusing in particular on improving the business climate, economic transformation, and business opportunities, with the participation of representatives of Moroccan employers.
