The Ministry of Economy and Finance is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious “Tier III Facility” certification for its main DataCenter, which houses the bulk of its information systems. This certification, issued by the Uptime Institute, the global benchmark in this field, attests to the excellence in resilience and reliability of the infrastructures supporting this DataCenter.

This award, a first in the public sector, attests to the Datacenter's ability to guarantee optimum availability, uninterrupted maintenance and resilience in the face of technical incidents, thus consolidating the reliability of digital services provided to the various categories of users of the Information Systems deployed by the Ministry.

To obtain this certification, the DataCenter had to meet rigorous criteria covering the redundancy of its various infrastructures, the ability to manage breakdowns without impacting the hosted information systems, and the implementation of advanced security protocols. These criteria include redundant power supply and cooling infrastructures, as well as strict maintenance and management processes.

Obtaining this certification required intensive preparation, culminating in in-depth audits conducted in the last quarter of 2024 by a team of auditors from the Uptime Institute, during which tests and simulations of failures and maintenance operations in real-life conditions were successfully carried out.

This Tier III Facility certification represents an important step in the Ministry's strategy to optimize and secure its IT infrastructures, and to strengthen the confidence of users and institutional partners. It is part of the MEF's information systems security governance roadmap, and reflects the Ministry's commitment to regulatory compliance and adoption of the highest international standards.
