Interview of the Minister of the Economy and Finance with Antoine Armand, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty

On the sidelines of the State visit to Morocco by the President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, held talks with her counterpart, Mr. Antoine Armand, Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.

This visit gives new impetus to the strategic economic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, which has been renewed and expanded to include promising sectors and new growth drivers.

These bilateral discussions provided an opportunity to reiterate the very advanced level of economic relations between the two countries, with France Morocco's second-largest trading partner. France is also one of the Kingdom's leading partners in a number of key sectors, including automotive, aeronautics, energy and infrastructure.

The new impetus for economic cooperation provided by the French President's State visit is marked by the launch of new flagship projects in fields such as information technology, sustainable mobility, agribusiness and healthcare.

These projects will support the Kingdom's accelerated development dynamic and its strategic objectives, notably the building of the welfare State, economic resilience and emergence, as well as sustainable development and energy transition.

The two ministers also discussed how the two countries could work together to explore the extraordinary potential for economic development on the African continent and the many opportunities it offers, by pooling their assets and leveraging their expertise.
