The Minister of Economy and Finance meets the World Bank's new Country Director for Maghreb and Malta

Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received, Tuesday July 16, 2024, Mr. Ahmadou Moustapha Ndiaye, new Country Director for Maghreb and Malta at the World Bank, succeeding Mr. Jesko Hentschel.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways of further strengthening the exemplary partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the World Bank Group, and reviewed current and future areas of cooperation.
In this context, the Minister of Economy and Finance highlighted the major reform efforts undertaken by the Kingdom, under the enlightened leadership of his majesty the king, may God assist him, and welcomed the World Bank's constant support for these efforts, particularly in areas in line with Morocco's development priorities.
For his part, Mr. Ndiaye expressed his satisfaction at the quality of the cooperative relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the World Bank Group, and his determination to pursue the World Bank's commitment and support for the Kingdom's economic and social development efforts, and to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Ndiaye, a Senegalese national, was the World Bank's Director of Strategy and Operations for Equitable Finance and Inclusive Growth.
