Meeting of the Moroccan Pension Fund’s Board of Directors

Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, chaired, Monday June 24, 2024, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Moroccan Pension Fund (CMR)

​In her opening address, the Minister thanked the members of the Board, the Governance Committees, the fund's management and its human capital for their efforts and commitment to the ongoing development of this establishment, considered one of the key players in the national social welfare system.

She noted that CMR had begun preparing its Strategic Action Plan for the next three years, in line with government guidelines on administrative reform, digitization and strengthening cooperation between institutions in the service of citizens.

At the meeting, the Board of Directors praised the Fund's achievements in 2023, the second year of implementation of the program contract signed with the State for the period 2022-2024, the rate of which exceeded 89%. He also noted that CMR currently manages the rights of over 2 million affiliates and pension beneficiaries, with financial flows exceeding 90 MMDHS.

Subsequently, the Board noted with satisfaction the good performance of the portfolio of schemes managed by CMR and the quality of its investments, which enabled a return of 5.7% to be achieved despite the difficult economic conditions.

It also praised the institution's commitment to the implementation of the official status of the Amazigh language, integrating it into its various activities, notably reception and communication services, with a view to facilitating access to services for Amazigh speakers.

The Board also welcomed the launch of the new version of the Fund's portal and the quality of the innovative digital services offered remotely to users and partners, as part of the digitalization and innovation strategy adopted by CMR.

After reviewing the items on the agenda, the Board of Directors approved the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023, and all the decisions and resolutions submitted to it.

The session ended with the reading of a message of loyalty and fidelity to His Majesty King Mohamed VI, may God assist him.
