Mrs Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, represented HIS MAJESTY THE KING MOHAMMED VI, May God assist him, at the African Heads of State Summit on the 21st replenishment of the International Development Association (IDA), held on April 29, 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Nairobi Summit brought together African Heads of State and Government and leaders of international and regional institutions and organizations to mobilize the support of the international financial community for an ambitious replenishment of IDA resources as part of the institution's 21st replenishment cycle (IDA21).
The IDA21 should support the efforts of countries benefiting from IDA resources, a majority of which are African countries, to implement the reforms and investments needed to put their economies on a sustainable and inclusive growth trajectory.
The Kingdom of Morocco's participation in the Nairobi Summit reaffirms its ongoing commitment to the economic and social development of our continent, in line with the enlightened vision of HIS MAJESTY THE KING MOHAMMED VI for an active African solidarity and a prosperous Africa enjoying its rightful place on the international stage.
