On December 16 and 17, 2022, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in partnership with the Association for the International Public Finance Foundation (FONDAFIP), is organizing the fifteenth edition of the International Public Finance Conference.
This edition of the conference, which will be held at the headquarters of the General Treasury of the Kingdom, has as its theme: "What model of governance of public finances in a world of multi-crises?
After the opening speeches, the symposium will start with the presentation of introductory reports and testimonies.
The work of the symposium will be pursued in three panels, articulated around the following axes:
1. The first axis will address the role of the key actors in the target governance model for the regulation of public finance decisions, namely, the role of the legislative and executive powers and that of the local authorities;
2. The second axis will focus on the problem of decision making in the regulation of public financial management and the related governance mechanisms, linked to the budget programming model, artificial intelligence and the strengthening of evaluation capacities;
3. The third axis will deal with the main ideas of the new public finance management, namely, the new understanding of the standardization of public financial models, the accountability of public financial actors and the qualification of human resources.
