Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, received, Tuesday, September 27th 2022 a delegation of nine Executive Directors of the African Development Bank (ADB), who are on a consultation mission to Morocco from September 26th to 30th 2022.
This consultation mission, which is part of the annual visits by ADB Board members to the Bank's regional member countries, aims to assess the quality of the institution's support to our country and gain a perspective on the Moroccan government's major priorities.
At that meeting, Mrs. .FETTAH praised the quality of financial and technical cooperation relations that have long tied the Kingdom of Morocco to the ADB.
In this regard, the Minister of Economy and Finance expressed her gratitude to the ADB delegation for the support provided by the Bank to our country in the implementation of several structural reforms undertaken by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This support included particularly the areas of public administration, governance, health, education, the financial sector and the competitiveness of the economy.
Mrs. FETTAH also commended the Bank's support for the implementation of several infrastructure projects that have significantly contributed to the better inclusion of the population, especially youth and women.
For their part, the ADB Executive Directors hailed the relevance of the reforms undertaken by the Kingdom, which make our country a model for other African countries to follow, while stressing the Bank's willingness to continue and strengthen its support to Morocco's economic and social development efforts.
