Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, participated, Thursday, September 15th 2022 in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline between the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Nigeria and Morocco.
The agreement confirms the commitment of ECOWAS and all the countries involved to contribute to the feasibility of this important project, which, once completed, will provide gas to all West African countries, and open a new export route to Europe.
The memorandum of understanding was initialed by Mr. Douka Mallam Mele KOLO KYARI, Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), who was representing Nigeria. Mrs. Amina BENKHADRA, Director General of the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) was representing Morocco.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Mohcine JAZOULI, and the Director General of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water Mr. Abderrahim El HAFIDI.
