The Minister of Economy and Finance answers to oral questions in the House of Councillors

On May 17th 2022, Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, Minister of Economy and Finance, answered several oral questions in the House of Representatives during a session covering economic and financial issues.

The Minister reacted to requests related to the reform of pension systems and the financial and social situation of pensioners, the Government's plan to protect the purchasing power of citizens and the increase in the prices of some basic products, as well as the measures to save companies in bankruptcy.

Mrs. Nadia FETTAH, also answered questions about the social protection of self-employed and non-salaried workers, the policy considered to mitigate the debt, the growth of outstanding debts to the National Social Security Fund, and the problem concerning a legal vacuum in the negotiation for the total or partial exemption of capital gains.

In addition, the Minister responded to questions on the planned measures to regulate the informal economy, protect national products and support the purchasing power, before addressing the solutions considered to address the reform of the file of pensions at The National Office of Hydrocarbons and  Minerals .
