The draft sectoral budget 2022 of the Ministry of Economy and Finance was presented on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 before the Committee on Finance, Planning and Economic Development of the House of Councillors.
The presentation began by paying tribute to the Ministry's employees for their mobilization and involvement in the success of strategic projects, despite the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He then proceeded to the presentation of the achievements of the Ministry for the year 2021. In this context, the situation of budget execution, for the year 2021, was exposed as well as the main achievements of the Ministry by budgetary program, including measures and actions to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the national economy, the continuation of the tax reform and that of the public order, the support and encouragement of investment, the price policy and competition.
The progress of the Ministry's administrative deconcentration and simplification of procedures was also presented, as well as the implementation of the Ministry's strategic action plan for the 2017-2021 period.
The development of the Ministry's human resources and the reinforcement of the gender approach were also highlighted, as well as the continuation of the realization of the Department's three-year Training Plan and the implementation of the action plan of the Foundation for Social Works of the Ministry's personnel.
Were also highlighted the efforts made by the Ministry as part of its strategy for sustainable development, which allowed the Department to be awarded the Hassan II Prize for the Environment in its 13th edition, in the category "Exemplarity of the Administration in Sustainable Development".
The second part of the presentation was devoted to the main measures of the draft sectoral budget for the year 2022.
Therefore, the actions programmed in 2022 focus on the major projects and reforms launched by His Majesty the King, in particular those concerning the continuation of the generalization of social coverage, the implementation of the plan to revive the national economy, through the operationalization of the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment, the continuation of the dynamics of reform of institutions and public enterprises, the creation of the national agency in charge of the strategic management of State holdings and the continuation of the support to entrepreneurship and the encouragement of investment.
Furthermore, the presentation highlighted the importance given to the continuation of the administrative deconcentration project, the implementation of the action plan of the Ministry's Social Works Foundation, and the enhancement and development of human resources capacities, while supporting the pivotal role of women within the Ministry.
