The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mrs. Nadia Fettah, and the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, present the project of the sectoral budget of the Ministry for the year 2022, before the Commission of Finance and Development

The 2022 sectoral budget project of the Ministry of Economy and Finance was presented on Friday, November 12, 2021 before the Finance and Economic Development Committee of the House of Representatives. The intervention focused on the two following axes:

First axis : The presentation of the Ministry's activity report for the year 2021 began with a tribute to the Ministry's managers and executives for their mobilization and involvement in the success of the Ministry's projects, notwithstanding the particular situation our country is facing due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thereafter, the numerical data relating to the execution of the budget of the Ministry for the year 2021 were introduced as well as the main achievements of the Ministry by budgetary program, in particular the actions to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the national economy, the continuation of the tax reform and that of the public order, the accompaniment and the incentive to the investment, the policy of the prices and the competitiveness.

Has also been presented, the progress of the support of ministerial departments in the implementation of the provisions of the Organic Law No. 130.13 relating to the Finance Act, the sites of simplification of procedures and administrative deconcentration of the Ministry and the implementation of the strategic action plan of the Ministry 2017-2021.

In parallel, the efforts made by the Ministry to enhance its human resources and reinforce the gender approach were highlighted, as well as the continued application of the action plan of the Foundation for Social Works of the Ministry's staff and the realization of the Ministry's three-year Training Plan (+100,000 training days).

The efforts deployed within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry in the area of sustainable development were also emphasized, which allowed the Ministry to receive the Hassan II prize for the environment in its 13th edition, in the category "Exemplarity of the Administration in the area of Sustainable Development".

Second axis : The main measures of the draft sectoral budget for the year 2022 With regard to the actions and measures envisaged for the year 2022, the emphasis has been placed on the priority given to the implementation of the major projects and reforms launched by His Majesty the King, in particular those concerning the continuation of the generalization of social coverage, the implementation of the national economic recovery plan through the operationalization of the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment, the continuation of the reform dynamics of public establishments and companies, the creation of the national agency in charge of the strategic management of State holdings and the continuation of the support to entrepreneurship and the encouragement of investment.

Furthermore, the importance of the efforts that will be made to continue the administrative deconcentration, the implementation of the action plan of the Foundation of Social Works of the Ministry, the enhancement and development of human resources and the improvement of working conditions, supporting the pivotal role of women in the Ministry have also been emphasized.
