"African Banker Awards" announces Mr. Mohamed Benchaaboun, best Minister of Finance in Africa for 2021

On Wednesday June 23rd, 2021, The Minister of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform, Mr. Mohamed Benchaaboun, received the Trophy of the Minister of Finance of the year on the African continent.

This award took place during the prestigious award ceremony, organized by the "African Banker Awards", on the margins of the annual meetings of the African Development Bank.

Mr. Benchaaboun was among the winners of the 2021 edition of the "Africans Banker Trophies" which celebrate the successes of financial leaders and pay tribute to the achievements of African bankers.

The «Africans Banker Award» ‘organizers believe that the Moroccan Minister in charge of Finance, “has done a remarkable job and coordinated an exemplary response to the economic and social impact of the pandemic”. They further noted that “the fiscal stimulus measures taken quickly, cushioned the impact of COVID-19, and emphasized that the mobilization of resources in the public and private sectors made it possible to support the less fortunate and the most vulnerable populations”.

Entitled “Innovation and resilience, common themes among the winners of the African Banker Awards 2021 “, this event aimed to reward this year the financial institutions by recognizing their contribution to the economy of the African continent which has greatly suffered from the Covid.
