Meeting of the Minister with the new AMIF Bureau

At the time of the election of the new governing bodies of the Association of members of the General Inspectorate of Finance (AMIF), the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, received Monday, April 15th 2019, the President, Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA as well as the other members of the Association's Bureau.

During this meeting, in which Mr. Abdelali EL BERRIA, Inspector General of Finances, took part, the Minister congratulated Mr. Fouzi LEKJAA and the other members of the office and wished them success in the achievement of the Association’s missions in order to strengthen the role of the inspectors of finances, to protect the financial interests of the State and improve financial governance. In addition, the Minister welcomed the work of the two meetings the AMIF held in 2016 and 2018, under the High guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assists Him, on the model of development and expressed satisfaction with the quality of the discussions and the results of these events.

In this respect, he invited the AMIF to continue its efforts to initiate such debates on national issues.

During this meeting, the Minister of Economy and Finance stressed the need to adapt the planning of the actions of the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) by focusing on missions with high- financial stakes, to increase their impact by careful monitoring of the implementation of their recommendations. He also put emphasis on strengthening the involvement of the IGF in reform projects that the public authorities initiated.

As for human capital, the Minister recalled that the IGF must continue to operate as a pool that provides the Ministry and public administrations with high level skills.

In this regard, he suggested the setting up of a pedagogical committee to guarantee the conditions of an excellent training of the financial inspectors.
