Today in Brussels, The Finance Ministers of the member countries of the European Union acknowledged the reforms undertaken by our country for compliance with the new tax standards, and consider that the tax provisions governing the export sector and industrial acceleration zones now comply with the required standards.
This decision, which is the result of the efforts made, is of major importance for Morocco, given the challenges in terms of employment and trade balance associated with these two systems.
The OECD's ongoing evaluation process of the Casablanca Finance City tax system did not allow the ministers to confirm that the tax system was in compliance with the new standards.
With the expected confirmation from the OECD, our country will have fulfilled all of the commitments aimed at ensuring that its tax system complies with the new standards, while preserving its national interests.
