CCG wins the silver award for the Best SME Bank

CCG wins the silver award as Best SME Bank for 2019 in Africa by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group. The award ceremony took place yesterday on the sidelines of the prestigious SME Finance Forum, which is holding its 5th edition in Amsterdam from October 7th to 9th under the theme: "The convergence of the authentic and financial sectors of SMEs", in the presence of some 600 participants representing more than 280 institutions from 75 countries.

This award recognizes the most active financial institutions in terms of SMEs financial inclusion, particularly in Africa and the MENA region. Thus, CCG was selected among 144 financial institutions around the world, notably for the efficiency of its strategy, its SME targeting positioning as well as its opening to other markets through its innovations in terms of new financing solutions for VSMEs and startups.

Following this recognition, Mr. Hicham ZANATI SERGHINI, Director General of CCG declared during the ceremony: "It is an honor for CCG and all the financing actors in Morocco to be awarded this prize. This testifies to the success of our business model, which aims to develop more additionality and impact on the Moroccan entrepreneurial fabric. We are constantly innovating to best meet their diverse financing needs".

It should be recalled that CCG is an assimilated loan institution under the supervision of the Minister of Economy and Finance, whose role is to work with other financing actors to facilitate SMEs and startups’ access to financing. CCG’s intervention takes various forms, mainly through guarantee tools, loans, equity financing and incidentally grants.
