The Minister of Economy and Finance takes part at Morocco-OECD high level meeting in Paris

Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance, participates in Morocco-OECD high-level meeting that opened, Tuesday, June 25th 2019 in Paris, under the co-chairmanship of the Head of Government Mr. Saad Dine EL OTMANI and the Secretary General of this organization, Mr. Angel GURRIA.

This meeting was held at the headquarters of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and a Memorandum of Understanding on the Second Morocco Country Program (MPC-2) was signed in addition to a multilateral agreement for the implementation of tax agreement measures to prevent erosion in tax bases and profit shifting. A lunch-debate was also held to discuss issues based on four components: "Economic reforms in Morocco: lever of investment, growth and employment », « Governance, transparency and fighting corruption", « territorial Development » and" South-South Cooperation: MENA and Africa ".

The first Morocco Country Program consisted of 16 projects that focused on three strategic areas for the Kingdom: competitiveness, public governance and social inclusion.

It involved peer reviews, capacity-building activities, inclusion in OECD statistical tools, participation in 9 OECD committees and adherence to 9 legal tools of the Organization. It allowed to support the development of evidence-based policies.

​The Moroccan ministerial delegation includes in addition to Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohammed AUJJAR, Minister of Justice, Mr. Lahcen DAOUDI, Minister Delegate for General Affairs and Governance, Mr. Mohamed BEN ABDELKADER, Minister Delegate for the Reform of Administration and Public Service and Mr. Abdelahad FASSI FIHRI, Minister of National Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy and Mrs. Mounia BOUCETTA, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
