The promotion of economic relations at the core of an interview in Paris between Mr. BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy and Finance and his French counterpart

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, had a meeting, Friday, January 18th 2019 in Paris, with his French counterpart, Mr. Bruno Le Maire, in which both officials stressed the need to give a new impetus to economic relations between the two countries.

During this event, both Ministers welcomed the excellent relations of bilateral economic and financial cooperation, characterized by the intensity and the quality of the strategic partnership linking France and Morocco.

Thus, they agreed on the need to give a new impetus to these relations through a stronger involvement of SMEs in the dynamics of investment and exchanges and with innovative financial tools.

In this meeting, held in the presence of the Moroccan ambassador to France, Mr. Chakib BENMOUSSA, the two officials also reviewed the state of financial cooperation and reviewed some bilateral agreements. They also discussed some issues on boosting cooperation links with the (EU).

Mr. BENCHAABOUN welcomed the excellent economic relations between Morocco and France and stressed the will of both sides to further enhance these links. "It was also an opportunity to discuss a number of issues of common interest, related to key projects initiated on both sides," he stated.
