Launching of the program of the SMEs logistic improvement

Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, signed Wednesday, October 04th in Rabat, a partnership agreement formalizing the program for the development of the SMEs’ logistic competitiveness “PME-LOGIS”, for the benefit of about 600 SMEs, with a budget of 63 million Dirhams (MDH).

Were present in this event, Mr. Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Mr. Mohamed Talal, Representative of the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM), Mr. Abdelilah Hifdi, President of the Federation of Transport and Logistic, Mr. Rachid Tahri, President of "Giac Translog", and Mr. Aissam Ech-Chabbi, Acting Director General of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of logistics (ADML).

This program, initiated and prepared by the (ADML) in partnership with the (CGEM), is part of the implementation of the national logistics strategy and particularly its axis related to the development of efficient and integrated logistic players.

Mr. BOUSSAID stated that this program, that will be implemented over the 2017-2021 period, with a first phase scheduled for 2017-2018, expressed a common will of public and private players to make logistics a driving force for improving the Moroccan SMEs global competitiveness which progresses, according to him, in an increasingly competitive international environment.

He provides the SMEs with several technical and financial support measures, in particular in the field of the diagnosis of the logistics activity in the company, the use of the outsourcing of logistics activities project and the development of the logistics information systems, as well as in the area of certifications and trainings in logistics’ professions, he noted. He pointed out that the program targets both logistic operators and the shippers-contractors.
