A signing ceremony for two agreements of loan and guarantee took place on Tuesday 25 July 2017 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This is related to the financing of the second phase of the Tangier-Casablanca high-speed train project, with KWD 15 million.
The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, in the presence of His Excellency Abdul Wahab Al-Bader, Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Mr. Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water and Mr. Mohamed Rabii Lakhlii, Director General of the National Office of Railways.
The Minister of Economy and Finance seized this opportunity to express his thanks to the Director General of the Kuwaiti Fund for the special attention the fund gives to the support of economic and social development in the Kingdom of Morocco through financing of Strategic projects.
He also emphasized the importance of this project, which is part of the major projects undertaken by Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, God assist him, in order to sustain the pace of economic growth, and which contributes to the development of a modern rail transport system able to accompany the dynamics of transport in general and particularly on the Tangiers-Casablanca axis.
His Excellency Abdul Wahab Al-Bader, Director-General of the Kuwaiti Fund, praised the high quality of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Kuwait, stressing the special interest the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development gives to financing of economic and social projects.
