On Friday, July 7, 2017, Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, participated in the first conference on the carbon market which took place in Rabat.

In his speech, the Minister said that Morocco has now become a model in the field of clean energy production. He also noted that investment in this sector undoubtedly contributes to the strengthening of the national economy and to the establishment of a perpetual dynamic of the Moroccan industry.

The first national carbon market conference aims to present Morocco's first experience feedback and carbon market best practices in the world, inform and involve state and non-state players and solicit their contribution and commitment.

This conference is part of the carbon market partnership project, a mechanism for reducing GHG emissions and combating climate change, which is a priority of national climate policy.
