Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, chaired on Friday June 30, 2017, by delegation from the Head of Government, an extraordinary session of the Board of Directors of the Moroccan Pension Fund following the appointment of Mr Lotfi BOUJENDAR, as Director of the Moroccan Pension Fund (CMR).

At that session, the Board considered the items on the agenda relating to the installation of Mr Lotfi BOUJENDAR, Director of CMR and the delegation of powers pursuant to Articles 6 and 7 of Law No ° 43.95 reorganizing the CMR.

In a speech delivered on this occasion, the Minister presented on his behalf and on behalf of all the members of the Board his congratulations to the new Director, wishing him success in all the responsibilities and missions entrusted to him. On this occasion, he highlighted two main orientations that should guide the work of the CMR, namely the development of digitization for a local administration in the service of pensioners and their beneficiaries and the continuation of the process of pension system reform.

the Minister also recalled, on the one hand, the many achievements of the late Mohammed El ALAOUI EL ABDELLAOUI, who contributed to the modernization of the Moroccan Pension Fund, and on the other hand, congratulated Mr. Ahmed BENSAID, Secretary General of the CMR for the confidence placed in him by the Board of Directors as Acting Director during the transition period he successfully secured.

For his part, the new Director of the WRC highlighted the achievements of this institution in recent years, notably in terms of its governance and funding systems.

Mr BOUJENDAR also pointed out the need to continue the effort begun, on the one hand, to further modernize this national institution which performs important tasks for citizens and the national economy and on the other hand to support the financial equilibrium of pension schemes. Mr. Lotfi BOUJENDAR was appointed to the position of Director of the Moroccan Pension Fund at the Government Council of 29 June 2017.

Actuarial engineer of training, Mr. BOUJENDAR joined the Insurance and Social Welfare Directorate (DAPS) in 1989. He held several positions of responsibility in this directorate, notably that of head of the Pension Schemes Division, Position of assistant to the director of the DAPS, head in charge of reform and pension schemes.

Since April 2016, Mr. BOUJENDAR has held the position of Director of Social Welfare within the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS).
