Mrs. FAOUZIA ZAABOUL, Director of Treasury and External Finance in the Ministry of Economy and Finance, participated, as Alternate Governor of the Kingdom of Morocco in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in the 26
th Annual Meeting of the Bank, held in Nicosia, May 09
th and 10
th 2017.
Mrs. ZAABOUL took part in the Governors' panel on "Economic Inclusion". She tackled the major issues of economic inclusion in the (EBRD) countries of actions and the role of the private sector in addressing the challenges of economic inclusion as well as the opportunities of the Bank to reinforce its commitment.
In this context, the Director of the Treasury and External Finance welcomed the (EBRD's) launch of the Strategy of Economic Inclusion and presented Morocco’s vision which consists of an effective dynamic aimed at directing its development model towards inclusive growth, creating jobs and reducing disparities. Mrs. ZAABOUL also stressed the (EBRD’s) role in promoting the contribution of the private sector to the objectives of economic inclusion.
In addition, the Director of the Treasury and External Finance held meetings with heads of delegations and representatives, including, the Department of the American Treasury, the European Investment Bank, Canada and Portugal as well as Members of the (EBRD).
