The participation of Mr. BOUSSAID in the meeting of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Banks Governors

Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, took part, March 17th 2017 in Baden-Baden, Germany, in the meeting of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Banks Governors, devoted to the launching of the G20 initiative, entitled "Compact with Africa".

This event follows the G20 German Presidency’s invitation to Morocco as the beneficiary country of this initiative alongside Côte d'Ivoire, Rwanda, Senegal and Tunisia.

During this meeting, the Minister highlighted our country’s progress in macroeconomic stability, structural and sector-based reforms as well as improvements in terms of business climate and the financial sector.

Mr. BOUSSAID, later, outlined the reforms to be included in Morocco's investment compact aimed at raising the level of potential growth and enhancing its inclusive and job-creating nature which will allow Morocco to rise to the rank of the emerging countries.

Finally, the Minister expressed Morocco's willingness to participate intensively in the launch of this initiative and to cooperate with the partner countries concerned and international financial organizations, in particular the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, to set up an investment pact specifying the commitments of the stakeholders to further promote private investment in Morocco.
