Highlights

Within the framework of the sharing of knowledge and the exchange of expertise and good practice in terms of Gender Responsive Budgeting (BSG) on an international scale, the German Cooperation requested, through the GIZ, the Budget Directorate to receive a delegation from Burkina Faso, Thursday, March 09th 2017 at 9am.

The delegation is made up of senior officials from the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Development and the Ministry of Women, National Solidarity and the Family.

A presentation on "The Moroccan Experience in Gender Responsive Budgeting" was made by Mrs. Benali Nadia, National Director of the Center of Excellence for Gender Responsive Budgeting and Head of the Division of Social Sectors at the Directorate of Budget. Mrs. Benali presented the framework for the integration of (BSG) as well as the main perspectives and areas for improvement in this field.

The meeting was therefore an opportunity to exchange views on the various aspects related to the particular importance of gender issues in the budget as a tool for strengthening the transparency and the performance of public policies as well as the reduction of gender disparities.
