Mr. BOUSSAID believes that the royal visit to Rwanda is extremely positive and paves the way for intensive and deep cooperation

Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance gave Friday, October 21st, 2016 in Kigali, an interview to « l’Observateur du Maroc et de l’Afrique » ​​and the website « Pouvoir d’Afrique » ​​and this, on the occasion of the royal visit to Rwanda. The Minister stated that Rwanda is the first step of a royal visit to East Africa. He added, in this regard, that the visit of His Majesty the King confirms the attention of the sovereign to the African continent and brings, in a concrete way, cooperation initiated by His Majesty into being.

Mr. BOUSSAID viewed this royal visit as important and historical taking account of the various conventions, agreements and memoranda on several sectors. He highlighted the four agreements signed Thursday, October 20th, 2016, specific to the agricultural sector and for financing small farmers, insurance and fertilizer and seeds. The Minister stressed the interest of Rwandan officials to the strategy 'Green Morocco Plan' and the Moroccan experience in agriculture.

Mr. BOUSSAID also stated that the multifaceted cooperation between Morocco and Rwanda became concrete in the framework of this royal visit, with the signing of the classical political and diplomatic agreements, and by agreements on the promotion and the protection of investments and double taxation to be the basis for a strong cooperation between the businessmen of both countries.

The various agreements signed in Kigali between the private sectors of both countries concerning several sectors, were also highlighted as part of this interview.

Mr. BOUSSAID considers that the royal visit to Rwanda opens up promising prospects for cooperation and partnership with that country, seen as a platform in East Africa.
