Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID takes part in the MANAMA annual meetings of Arab financial institutions

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID, headed the Moroccan delegation participating in the joint Annual Meetings of Arab Financial Institutions and the Council of Arab Finance Ministers that opened Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 in Manama in Bahrain. ​

This is particularly the Arab Monetary Fund, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the A​rab Organization for Agricultural Development and the Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation.

Were present at these meetings the Arab Finance Ministers as well as the Directors of Central Banks, who benefit from this annual event to hold their scheduled meetings and discuss issues of common interest.

Thus, the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors exchanged views on current issues, including those related to fiscal consolidation and control of public spending, policies implemented in social transfers and flows of external funds to the region to support growth.

On the other hand, Mr. BOUSSAID discussed, on the sidelines of these meetings, with several Ministers of Economy and Finance ways to strengthen cooperation relations.

Mr. BOUSSAID chairs a Moroccan delegation composed of the Director of Treasury and External Finance, Mrs. Fouzia Zaaboul, the Budget Director, Mr. Fouzi Lakjaa and Ambassador of Morocco to Bahrain, Mr. Ahmed Rachid Khettabi.
