The Minister of Economy and Finance receives the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina

​​Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, received Thursday, March 24th 2016 in Rabat, Mr. Mirko SAROVIC, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina who is in a visit to Morocco.

​ During this meeting, Mr. BOUSSAID highlighted the excellent relations linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and noted the importance of strengthening and exploring new areas of cooperation and win-win partnerships, before asserting that the future opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Rabat reflects this commitment to cooperation.

The Minister of Economy and Finance stressed the advantages and business and investment opportunities that Morocco offers as part of its sector-based strategies and structural projects and focused on Morocco's potential as a platform for production and export, particularly to African markets, the US and the Arab world.

Mr. BOUSSAID recalled that this meeting aims to establish a platform to develop economic and bilateral relations, involving private investors in both countries, and targeting key sectors such as phosphates, tourism and trade. The Minister also indicated that the prospects for cooperation are very promising, as the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina undertakes these official efforts to join the European Union, with which Morocco maintains links through a strategic partnership agreement.

​ Referring to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, M. BOUSSAID praised the position of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina that shows its unconditional support to Morocco and its unity and territorial integrity. For his part, Mr. Mirko SAROVIC, who announced the imminent opening of the embassy of his country in Morocco, expressed his satisfaction with regard to the evolution of relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. SAROVIC, thus stressed that his visit to Morocco reflects the will and the commitment of his country to reinforce and further develop the Moroccan-Bosnian relations in areas of mutual interest.​
