The Council of Government adopts a draft decree on the organization of the accredited accounting profession  and the creation of the professional body of Chartered Accountants

The Council of Government, which met Thursday, February 25th, 2016, under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane, adopted a draft decree presented by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID. 

This concerns the project of Decree No. 2-15-806 pursuant to the law 127-12 on the organization of accredited accounting profession and the creation of the professional body of Chartered accountants.

The aim of this draft project is to set the terms of the annual examination of professional competence to join the list of the professional body of Chartered Accountants.

This project assigns to the Higher Institute of Commerce and Business Administration (ISCAE) the management of these examinations. Thus, a committee will be set to study the application files, ensure that candidates meet the requirements, define the subjects of examinations and ensure the delivery of the results of the written and oral examinations, as well as the final results of aptitude tests and professional ability.

​ The final eligible candidates must pass a training period of a minimum of two continuous years with a chartered accountant and present a probationary report by the end of that period. ​
