Mr. Mohamed Boussaid discusses with Adnan Yildirim, Turkish Deputy Minister of Economy

Mr. Mohamed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance held talks monday, August 17th, 2015 in Rabat with Mr. Adnan Yildirim, Turkish Deputy Minister of Economy, on the means that are likely to promote the economic cooperation between Morocco and Turkey.
On that occasion, Mr. Yildirim shared the determination of his government to work collaboratively with the Moroccan authorities to strengthen the Moroccan-Turkish economic relations, welcoming at the same time the progress made by the Kingdom particularly in the economic fields.
Turkey, the 16th most powerful economy of the world, plans to expand its investments in Morocco in several sectors, said Mr. Yildirim, who invited companies from his country to come and invest in the Kingdom.
For his part, Mr. Boussaid acknowledged the qualitative leap that marked the Moroccan-Turkish relations over the past decade, especially after the free trade agreement between Morocco and Turkey had been signed, highlighting that several sectors of the Moroccan economy are increasingly impressing Turkish investors, namely the free zones industry, tourism, services and public works.
He furthermore stressed the need to restore the trade balance equilibrium, notably through the diversification of economic relations.
The Kingdom is likely to offer a fertile breeding ground for production and export to Turkey, insisted Mr. Boussaid.
