Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Mr. Aly Abou Sabaa, Vice-President of the (AfDB) in charge of sector- based operations, signed Wednesday, May 27th , 2015 in Abidjan, a donation agreement to the accompaniment of the Green Morocco Plan and the new strategy of sustainable development 2015-2030.
Through this donation granted to Morocco for technical support to promote inclusive and green growth, the (AfDB) provides technical support for a period of 24 months, using three components, namely the development of strategic and operational tool for the transition to the green economy, the implementation of a roadmap at the regional level involving civil society and promoting green entrepreneurship through the creation of 100 green microenterprises.
In that regard, the Minister highlighted the quality of relations between Morocco and the (AfDB), noting that the outstanding loans granted to Morocco since 1970 amounts to more than 10 billion dollars.
Mr. BOUSSAID noted that sector- based strategies are supported by the international financial institutions.
On the other hand, the Vice-President of the (AfDB )in charge of sector-based operations described the Green Morocco Plan as exemplary, highlighting the economic performances that Morocco achieved under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI
It should be noted that Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID participates in the (AfDB) Annual Meetings, held from May 25th to 29th in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, under the theme "Africa and the new global landscape."
