Mr. Mohammed BOUSSAID, Minister of Economy and Finance, received, Friday, March 20th 2015 at the headquarters of his Department, Mr. Paulo PORTAS, Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal.
The Minister of Economy and Finance took this opportunity to stress the strong nature of relations between the two countries that make Portugal one of the major European partners of Morocco and expressed Morocco’s wish to reinforce these relations to their highest level in order to reflect the quality of political relations linking the two countries.
Mr. Paulo PORTAS, on the other hand, underlined the close bonds of friendship which have linked Morocco and Portugal throughout history and that his visit to Morocco is part of his country’s will to consolidate economic, commercial and financial cooperation.
The two Ministers then reviewed the current situation of bilateral relations and the prospects for cooperation in areas of common interest and discussed the opportunities of a mutually beneficial strategic partnership for both sides.
Finally, Mr. BOUSSAID and Mr. Paulo PORTAS welcomed this meeting and reaffirmed their common commitment to further develop and consolidate relations between the two countries.
