Three partnership agreements were signed Monday, April 29th, 2013 in Skhirat, on the sidelines of the national conference on taxation, with the aim of promoting fiscal citizenship through education and awareness.
Under the first agreement, signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance Mr. Nizar Baraka and the Minister of Education, Mr. Mohamed El Ouafa, the two departments are committed to implement training programs with the aim to strengthen, among students, the contribution to the country`s economic development through taxes.
The other two agreements, signed between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM) and the Federation of Moroccan Chambers of Commerce, Industry and services "is also intended to promote tax awareness, but through information and security exchange in terms of advice from the tax authorities to businesses and associations," stated the Minister in charge of the Budget Mr. Driss El Azami El Idrissi in a statement to the MAP.
"Under the terms of these agreements, the tax administration is committed to organize study sessions, to provide the necessary information on the tax system, but also workshops on new developments and tax issues that arise from reality" added Mr. El Azami.
The National Conference on Taxation held April 29th and 30th in Skhirat present a platform for exchange to give a new impetus to the Moroccan tax system in adequacy with our country`s economic, social and political developments.
