The FEMISE annual conference held under the theme: "An inclusive development in the Mediterranean countries and the roleof the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership"

Mr. Mohamed CHAFIKI, Director of studies and financial forecasts at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, participated November 23rd and 24th2012, at the FEMISE annual conference held this year in Marrakech, under the theme: "An inclusive development in the Mediterranean countries and the role of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership".

This event, where network researchers, partners, officials from the Commission, the European Investment Bank and from Euromed institution,as well as recognized major stakeholders share their views and experiences on the issues of the Mediterranean region, included 3 plenary meetings.

During theconference, key actors from both sides intervened to share their views with the participants.

In this respect, Mr. Chafiki took part in the second session; "The policy of inclusive growth" with a presentation entitled: "issues and challenges of inclusive growth in Morocco".

The conference included, in particular,a special session on micro-economic surveys for the countries of the region. In addition, members presented, in parallel sessions, their most recent findings in the following fields: the mobility of goods and persons, the role of services, agriculture and renewable energy in growth, the competitiveness of businesses,and the inclusive development in the South.
