Mr. Nizar BARAKA, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. BUI THANH SON, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam signed, June 15th 2012 at the headquarters of the Department, an agreement for the Promotion and Protection of investments between Morocco and Viet Nam.
This agreement, which provides additional security in terms of protection of Moroccan and Vietnamese investments in their respective territories, aims to promote trade and investment between the two countries. 
Both officials welcomed the political and friendly relations that link the two countries and expressed the wish that this agreement could provide further impetus to bilateral relations especially in terms of economy and commerce.
The Minister stressed that the achievement of this objective requires a greater involvement of economic operators of the two countries. In this respect, he was pleased with the Organization of the Viet Nam-Morocco Business Forum on Thursday June 14th in Casablanca at the head office of the CGEM (General Confederation of Moroccan Companies).
For his part, the Vietnamese senior official reiterated the willingness of the Vietnamese Government to work together with the Government of Morocco, to further strengthen bilateral relations.
