Signing of financial and technical cooperation agreements between Morocco and Germany for the period 2010-2011

Mrs. Fouzia ZAABOUL , Director of the Treasury and External Finance, and Mrs. Sabine BLOCH, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Germany in Rabat, signed, Friday, June 08th 2012, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, respectively on behalf of the Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. Ambassador of Germany in Rabat, financial and technical cooperation agreements between Morocco and Germany for the period 2010-2011.  

On this occasion, Mrs. ZAABOUL noted that our country is pleased with the quality and regularity of German financial and technical support of social and economic development programs and projects that are a priority for Morocco.

Mrs. ZAABOUL welcomed the German Government`s effort to develop the Moroccan-German cooperation effected through the signing of the 2010-2011 financial and technical cooperation agreements that account, respectively for 139.5 million Euros provided to financial support and 15 million Euros to technical support.

She also stated that the signing of these two agreements reflect the common will of our two countries to pursue and enhance this cooperation by means of German financial and technical support for Morocco`s major development and social infrastructure projects and programs.

For her part, Mrs. Sabine BLOCH expressed the German authorities` interest in the financial and technical cooperation with Morocco, described as a model, and stated, in this context, that Morocco occupies a prominent place among German partners while stressing that her country supported all initiatives to make this cooperation more effective.

Finally, Mrs. ZAABOUL and Mrs. BLOCH welcomed the level and the quality of cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Germany and reaffirmed their common will to develop and strengthen it further.
