The Minister of Economy and Finance held discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey

Mr. Nizar BARAKA, Minister of economy and finance, expressed, Friday, may 18th in New York, support for the expansion of bilateral cooperation with the Turkey to be part of a "triangular logic" that is beneficial to both countries.

The Minister focussed, during this meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Mr. Ali Babacan, on the need ?to expand cooperation? between the two countries and "to be part of a triangular cooperation", by means of joint-ventures and public or private agencies to enter new markets, particularly in Africa.

During this meeting, held in parallel with the high level meeting in the headquarters of the United Nations on the "world economic and financial conditions" May 17th and 18th 2012, the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey recommended to set up a technical committee to identify all possible exchange areas and joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, as well as trade and investment between the two countries.

The two countries also agreed to share their successful experiences in the economic and energy fields as well as at the level of social safety nets, where Turkey has "an enormous experience", stated Mr. Nizar BARAKA to the MAP.
