Mr. Nizar BARAKA, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. Koichiro GEMBA, Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed Friday, May 4th 2012 at the headquarters of the Prime Minister, in the presence of Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane, Head of Government and Mr. Abdellah BAHA, Minister of State, an exchange of notes on a loan of 1.09 billion dirhams dedicated to financing the expansion and rehabilitation of sanitation systems in nine municipalities of the Kingdom.
This agreement between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the National Office of Electricity and Water Supply (ONEE) will be devoted to the financing of the expansion and renovation of sanitation systems in 9 municipalities, namely Bouarfa, Nador, Targuist, Essaouira, Berkane, Al Aroui, Taourirt, Ouarzazate and M`rirt.
